The Internal Regulations of the International Canicross Federation (ICF\u2122) serve as a foundational framework for the operation, cohesion, and development of the sport on a global scale. This document provides a detailed overview of the Federation\u2019s history, from its founding to its present structure, highlighting the vision and values upon which it has been built.<\/p>

It also outlines the articles and provisions that govern the philosophy and operational guidelines of the ICF\u2122. These articles clearly define the Federation\u2019s objectives, its mission to promote canicross as a recognized and organized sport, and the fundamental rules that all members are expected to follow.<\/p>

Moreover, the Regulations set out the principles of ethics and responsibility that must be respected by all members \u2014 including national federations, athletes, coaches, and event organizers \u2014 in order to ensure unity, credibility, and alignment with international sports standards.<\/p>

The rules are following the guidelines of the international paralympic comitee.
Challenging the interests of Para sport is the threat of one-sided and predictable competition, in
which the least impaired athlete always wins.
Classification is the cornerstone of the Paralympic Movement, it determines which athletes are
eligible to compete in a sport and how athletes are grouped together for competition. In Para
sports, athletes are grouped by the degree of activity limitation resulting from the impairment.
This, to a certain extent, is similar to grouping athletes by age, gender or weight.
Classification aims to minimise the impact of the impairment on athletes\u2019 performance so that
the sporting excellence determines which athlete or team is ultimately victorious. Ensuring that
athletes are classified prior to competing is crucial to safeguarding the integrity and credibility of
the competition.
It is important to underline that the competitive structure provided by classification systems is
not only key for elite sport but also necessary for promoting grassroots participation in Para
