ABCAES Presentation
The Brazilian Association of Canicross and Similar Sports (ABCAES) is a non-profit civil entity founded in June 2018. Our mission is to promote and develop canicross and related sports across Brazil, always prioritizing animal welfare and the bond between dogs and their handlers.
Our vision is to become a leading reference in Brazil and Latin America, organizing events that promote ethical sportsmanship and encouraging meaningful interaction between people and dogs in nature-based activities. ABCAES values responsible sport, inclusion, environmental sustainability, and the human-canine connection.
One of our key initiatives is organizing the largest Canicross event in Brazil, with wide participation from athletes across the country and a remarkable presence of children (Kids category), fostering unique moments of healthy interaction between adults, children, and dogs-reinforcing our educational and social mission.
We are committed to seeking formal recognition of canicross as an official sport through partnerships with municipal, state, and federal authorities. Additionally, we actively work with the Regional Veterinary Medicine Councils (CRMV) to establish safe and standardized procedures for sport practice.
ABCAES also provides technical guidance on modalities such as canicross, bikejoring, and scooterjoring, and maintains relationships with national and international organizations to strengthen global partnerships.
We are open to collaboration with the I.C.F., strengthening international ties and contributing to the worldwide growth of canicross.

Statistical Overview of Brasil Activity
This chart presents the activity level of the ICF member country across the main sports disciplines under the International Canicross Federation (ICF). The assessment is based on a numeric scale from 1 to 10, where: 1 indicates minimal or no activity, and 10 indicates a very high level of involvement and development in the respective sport.
The purpose of this statistical overview is to visualize the relative engagement of each country per discipline, supporting strategic development, recognizing areas of strength, and identifying where further guidance or support may be needed.
