The Canicross World Championship 2026 will take place in the city of Owińska, Poland, from November 5 to 8. The event is organized by the Polish Association of Sleddog Sports and held under the auspices of the International Canicross Federation (ICF), in accordance with its official international regulations. Athletes from around the world will compete in the disciplines of Canicross, Bikejoring, and Scooter across various age categories (men, women, juniors, and veterans). The competition will be held on a certified natural trail, approved by the local organizing committee for its safety and suitability.

Owińska, Poland — The International Canicross Federation (ICF) is pleased to announce that the ICF World Canicross Championship 2026 will be held in Owińska, Poland, from 05 to 08 November 2026. The event is organized by the Polish Association of Sleddog Sports, under the auspices of the ICF and in full accordance with its official international regulations.
Nestled just north of the historic city of Poznań, Owińska offers an exceptional natural setting for one of the world’s premier dog-sport events. Known for its scenic forest landscapes, pristine nature reserves, and direct access to the Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park, Owińska provides the ideal environment for top-level competition. The championship courses will run through certified natural trails, approved for both safety and athletic suitability by the local organizing committee.
Athletes from across the globe will compete in the disciplines of Canicross, Bikejoring, and Scooter, representing multiple age categories including men, women, juniors, and veterans. The varied terrain, forest paths, and natural elevation changes of Owińska will offer a world-class racing experience for both athletes and their canine partners.
Beyond the competitive arena, the region invites visitors to explore its cultural and environmental highlights, including the historic Owińska Palace, the renowned Sensory Garden, and the wider attractions of the Poznań area. Participants and spectators will also have the opportunity to enjoy authentic Polish hospitality and regional cuisine.
The ICF World Canicross Championship 2026 promises to be a landmark event — a global celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and the unique bond between humans and dogs, set against the inspiring backdrop of one of Poland’s most distinctive natural regions.
SUGGESTED ROUTES
ROUTE5,6 KM – canicross, bikejoring, scooter adults and juniors, parasport canicross adapted
- The start and finish of the competition are located on the territory of the Tropicana reservoir in Owińska. The routes pass through the surrounding areas and the nearby forests of the Zielonka forest.
- It leads along picturesque causeways between lakes and across the desert, combining nature with professional training for competitions.
- There will be no shortage of technical elements, such as ascents, descents and sharp turns.
- A variety of surfaces, from sandy (or mud, depending on the weather) paths to grassy areas and wide and hard roads on which you can accelerate.
ROUTE 2,2 KM – young boys/girls canicross, kadets boys/girls canicross
- A shorter version of the main distance for juniors, while retaining the most interesting elements.

All participants are required to fully comply with the ICF regulations, which include guidelines for dog welfare, approved equipment, bike and scooter specifications, as well as starting and finishing procedures. Special emphasis is placed on respect for the animals, fair competition, and sportsmanship among the teams.

Tolls in Poland: Everything You Need to Know About Costs & Payment Methods
There is no sticker vignette in Poland. For cars and other light vehicles up to 3.5 t, distance-based tolls apply on some privately operated motorway sections and, depending on the operator, can be paid at toll booths or electronically. The state-managed sections A2 Konin–Stryków and A4 Wrocław–Sośnica have been toll-free for light vehicles up to 3.5 t since 1 July 2023. Vehicles and vehicle combinations over 3.5 t, as well as buses, are subject to the electronic e-TOLL system on the toll road network.
Toll motorways
- Vehicles up to 3.5 t: Cars, motorcycles and vehicle combinations up to 3.5 t are not subject to tolls under the state e-TOLL system. However, tolls are still charged on certain concession motorways. These include sections of the A1 Gdańsk–Toruń, A2 Świecko–Konin and A4 Katowice–Kraków.
